Cajun Greek: Reviews & Ratings
The crab bisque was delicious! Our server, Chris was very attentive and gave us good recommendations. We loved the sea bass, potatoes, and the butter white wine dipping sauce! The peel away shrimp were tasty as well. The hush puppies were a bit on the dry side, but overall a great meal.
We decided to try Cajun Greek because we were craving catfish, and the reviews sounded too good to pass up. They definitely delivered, the quality matched everything we read in other reviews. Our server, Abraham, was friendly, welcoming, and informative, which made the experience even better. We ordered the fried flounder, the gyro with catfish, and a kids’ catfish meal. Everything came out hot, fresh, and flavorful... well worth the visit. We’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu!
This has easily become my top dining spot on Galveston Island. It’s not about fancy presentation here—it’s all about incredible flavor. If you love a truly outstanding crab cake, this is the place to go. Our server, Cisco, knew the menu inside and out and provided friendly, efficient service. The mix of Cajun and Greek influences was a pleasant surprise. The gyros were exceptional, easily comparable to ones I’ve enjoyed in Greece, and the Greek salad was fresh and crisp. Even watching another table enjoy crawfish added to the experience. We left impressed and already planning our next visit.
The food is delicious and the staff is friendly and helpful. We got the Gyro and fries along with the Shrimp Diablo appetizer (which made a filling meal and was delicious). The bartender was great & so were the drinks. We will definitely come back when we are on the island.
Very good food. Found this place on accident . My wife had the blackened shrimp po-boy. It might be the prettiest po-boy I’ve ever seen (not that po-boys are supposed to be pretty, but it was a good looking po-boy.) Waitress was very patient with my indecisive questioning. I got the gyro. It was good, not great, but “I’d eat it again” good. But what was lacking in the sandwich was forgotten when I ate the fries. They were phenomenal! They were tasty, crispy, and not hardly a hint of grease. I couldn’t keep my wife’s hands off my plate. We will go back just for the fries. She went on and on about the fries. Very fun atmosphere,.
First off, I love Greek food. Second, my wife loves crawfish and Cajun spice. Cajun Greek managed to hit all the necessities for a great family outing at the beach. The food was genuinely good across the board. The dining staff was attentive without being overbearing, which made the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable. The menu has a great variety, and the kids’ menu had everything our kids wanted. My son even said it was the best pepperoni pizza he’s ever eaten. The crawfish were large, fresh-looking, and spiced just right. I had the crab legs — and while I don’t claim to be a crab leg expert, I can confidently say they were delicious. The tzatziki and feta appetizer was outstanding. And the sweet tea? Perfectly sweet without being syrupy or gross. Side note: our two-year-old declared the crawfish “too spicy” — which gave us a good laugh. The bathrooms were clean, and we noticed several other families with small kids, which made it feel even more welcoming. We’ll definitely be coming back to try more items on the menu. Highly recommend for a family-friendly spot in Galveston.
We came here and had some of the biggest and best oysters I've ever had in my life. The catfish was the best I've ever had as well. Alyssa was a great server who knew a lot about the menu and when we asked her to surprise us, she chose perfectly. We loved the dessert called chocolate suicide. 10/10 we will be back.
Sat at the bar on a very unusually cold day here in Galveston and enjoyed a fried red snapper. Soo good. My wife had the Philly cheese steak sandwich. Also good.
